CANPACK Group to Invest in the Second Aluminum Beverage Can Plant in Colombia

Wayne, Pennsylvania and Tocancipá, Colombia (September 18, 2025) – CANPACK Group a leading manufacturer of sustainable packaging solutions announced its second major green field investment in Colombia, reinforcing its long-term commitment to strengthening the aluminum beverage can industry in the country, and beyond. This new investment valued approximately USD 140 million will be located near Barranquilla, in the Caribbean part of Colombia.
Backed by a long-term agreement with a strategic customer, this state-of-the-art facility will have an installed capacity of approximately 1 billion aluminum can bodies per year and the production is slated to commence in the first quarter of 2027. It is anticipated that the new plant will bring around 160 high-qualified direct jobs to the Colombia Caribbean region.
