KRAKÓW, POLAND (July 10, 2024) – CANPACK Group is delighted to announce that CANPACK will once again be a partner at the prestigious BNP Paribas Green Film Festival in Kraków, Poland this August (12-18).

One of the best-rated arts festivals in the world, it attracts the highest level of cinematic creativity to highlight vital environmental issues in powerful and imaginative ways.

As one of Poland’s largest artistic gathering, it has been going from strength to strength since 2018. It now reaches millions via TV and internet broadcasts, with educational projects, organised by the Green Festival Foundation, promoting ecological thinking across the wider community.

In the Festival Town along the lovely, riverside Vistula Boulevards at the foot of Wawel Castle, there will be workshops, panel discussions and other activities on a wide range of green themes. As in previous years, CANPACK is planning a special street activation. This year it is a giant “pixelata” installed at the festival ground by Every Can Counts.

Passers-by will be invited to fill this self-supporting structure with cans to create a big picture with an important ecological message. All the cans from the pixelata will then go to CANPACK’s own recycling plant to be made into brand new containers in around just 60 days.

Bartłomiej Wojdyło, CANPACK’s Sustainability Director Europe says: “This playful activity at the festival will highlight the infinite recyclability of aluminium beverage cans. We also hope it will raise awareness of the urgent need to create a truly circular economy.”

The festival is a genuinely green event, with environmental best practices informing every aspect of its planning and activities.

“As one of the world’s largest packaging companies and a premiere producer of aluminium beverage cans, we are proud that the CANPACK Group’s ESG strategy continues to align with these vital goals,” adds Wojdyło. “And, of course, we’re super-excited and really looking forward to taking part in this important, informative, and fun-filled festival for yet another year.”
