500ML ALUMINUM CAN PRODUCED BY CANPACK AWARDED WITH THE “TERAZ POLSKA” EMBLEM

KRAKÓW, POLAND (June 3, 2025) – A 500 ml beverage aluminum can produced by CANPACK, a global packaging company, has received the prestigious “Teraz Polska” award.

The award ceremony took place at the Belweder Palace, where this year’s laureates received congratulatory diplomas from the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, as well as diplomas from the Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation and the Competition Chapter, confirming the right to use the “Teraz Polska” emblem. In the evening, during a gala ceremony at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, 24 winners were presented with statuettes.

“Being named a laureate in the ‘Teraz Polska’ competition is extremely meaningful to us. We always proudly emphasize our Polish roots. When CAN-PACK S.A. was established in 1994, our goal was to launch the first and most modern beverage can production line in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. We quickly adapted to producing the 500 ml can, which remains one of the most popular formats in our country to this day,” she added.

Initially, the company produced 330 ml cans, as this was the most popular format in Western markets. However, it turned out that the 500 ml can best met the needs of the Polish market. Since then, it has become one of the most commonly chosen format, especially by beer producers, both in Poland and across Central and Eastern Europe. Over the years, the 500 ml can has been continuously improved. Key packaging changes include weight optimization, format modifications, innovative printing techniques, and the implementation of new ink and lacquer formulations. 

“This product combines optimal capacity, the ability to use various decorations, protection of the beverage’s properties, and environmental benefits – after all, aluminum is a permanent material that can be recycled infinitely without loss of quality,” emphasized Marian Miskov, Regional Director for Beverage Cans Poland, CANPACK Group. “The recognition in the ‘Teraz Polska’ competition motivates us to create more innovative products that similarly to the 500 ml can, will set new market standards,” he added.

The “Teraz Polska” competition for the best products and services has been organized for over 30 years. Winners are entitled to use the “Teraz Polska” emblem, which highlights the high quality and Polish origin of the brand.
