KRAKOW, POLAND (July 1, 2020) – The CANPACK Group, a global producer of packaging based in Krakow is among the top 10 companies most important to the Polish economy, according to the editors of the journal Rzeczpospolita. Within this ranking, the editors showcased the key industry sectors of the country’s economy as well as their leaders. The ranking reflects not only economic indicators, but also the importance of the companies to Poland’s economy with regards to taxes paid and impact on social issues through employment, initiatives for local communities, and sustainable development.

“We are honored to be included in such a prestigious ranking. For years, the CANPACK Group has been building and strengthening its position on the international packaging market. Our dynamic growth beyond the Polish market was made possible by the trust of our customers gained over the years, an ambitious investment plan, a skilled and  courageous workforce, and the shareholder support for bold development plans. We don’t forget our roots. It’s in Poland – specifically, in Brzesko – where the history of our company started 30 years ago, and its global headquarters is in Krakow,”  says Malgorzata Podrecka, Group Legal & PR Officer, CANPACK Group.

The editors of Rzeczpospolita have recognized the CANPACK Group’s contribution to the Polish economy as well as the company’s prominent position on the European and global market.

“Our aim is to be a good corporate citizen, as well as a good neighbor for the local communities in which we operate every day. We are all the more pleased to be recognized in a ranking which, in addition to strict financial indicators, also assesses the company’s role in the social reality, from tax issues through scale and forms of employment, initiatives for local communities, to environmental activity. We are on the same level as the giants of PKN Orlen or the PZU Group, and we are proud of it,” adds Podrecka.
