CANPACK STATEMENT REGARDING UKRAINE AND RUSSIA

Kraków, Poland (April 11, 2022) – The aggression in Ukraine is horrific and violates CANPACK’s values and principles. A core CANPACK value is the health, safety and wellbeing of all of our employees, including our employees in Ukraine and Russia and the thousands of others across the globe.

Since the beginning of this conflict, we have provided substantial humanitarian and financial assistance to our hundreds colleagues in Ukraine and to their family members, and we will continue to do so. 

In Russia, we have hundreds of dedicated employees, many of whom have worked for us for over a decade. Those employees continue to operate our two aluminum beverage can plants in compliance with applicable laws, sanctions and counter-sanctions, where those plants focus on the local market.

Due to the continued aggression, we will not be making any further investments in Russia.  We will continue to assess all of our options as it may become untenable to continue our operations in Russia. 

We continue to pray for a prompt and peaceful end to the aggression.
