KRAKÓW, POLAND (November 12, 2020) – CANPACK GROUP, a global manufacturer of beverage and food packaging, was recognized as a Silver Winner in the prestigious international trade contest The Cans of The Year Awards organized by The Canmaker magazine. The jury acknowledged CANPACK’s outstanding products in the Beverage Two-Piece Category for a limited edition of 500 ml D&A aluminum beverage can for Żubr from Kompania Piwowarska.
CANPACK partnered Kompania Piwowarska, a top beer company, in the campaign to protect endangered species by visualizing the scale of the threat in an engaging and thought-provoking way. With the use of Quadromix technology it prepared the series of cans highlighting endangered species that enabled up to four multiple eye-catching designs being produced in a single production batch.
“We are proud that high quality of print, including the details and halftones on the animals’ images, was appreciated by the jury panel as much as by us, especially taking into consideration how difficult the technology of printing on aluminum is. The words ‘stunning images’ used by the jurors in their verdict are the best proof point of great work the team has done.” said Maciej Korczak, brand design manager of Kompania Piwowarska.
“We are extremely proud of this award as it shows that CANPACK can do much more to build brand experience pushing the boundaries of what’s possible for customers, consumers and the planet. With our detailed approach to print preparation and an innovative Quadromix technology we were able to expand storytelling capabilities to create limited-edition cans that both grabbed the attention of consumers and shined a light on an important issue.” – Stephen McAneny, Group Commercial Officer.
